Bazylika Dominikanów pw. Świętej Trójcy

Historic church located in the Old Town of Krakow connected to the Dominican convent

The Holy Trinity Basilica is one of the important examples of Gothic architecture in Krakow. From almost its very beginnings, the church has belonged to the Dominican convent and is a shrine to Our Lady of the Rosary and Saint Jack Odrowaz. It owes its present shape to its rebuilding in the mid-14th century from a Romanesque hall into a Gothic basilica, and to its reconstruction in the mid-19th century after the great fire that completely ruined the church's interior. At that time it was restored to its Gothic character, removing most of the Baroque alterations.
