Kościół św. Andrzeja

1/5
Built in the 11th century, the brick church is in Romanesque style, with Baroque towers, a monastery and an 18th century organ
St Andrew's Church in Cracow is one of the oldest in the country. The temple was built in the Romanesque style. Despite occasional war damage and fires, much of the exterior has retained a similar shape to the original. Reminders of the Baroque era are the helmets of the towers and the portal. The interior, on the other hand, is largely Baroque, owing its decoration to, among others, Baltazar Fontana and Francesco Placidi. The former did the stucco and polychrome work and the latter worked on the altarpiece
