The Manggha Museum is the only state institution popularising Japanese culture in Poland that combines museum activities with the organisation of events typical of a modern cultural institution. The main criterion for creating the programme of events is, in addition to high artistic rank, the attractiveness of the show to the public. Because of the clear cultural differences, the way in which distant and often incomprehensible specialist knowledge is presented becomes crucial. The methods that have been developed over the years by the Manggha Museum team allow for an insightful and attractive presentation of phenomena related to ancient and contemporary Japan
